Cyberfeminism Right Now ArtWomen is pleased to present to our viewers some perspectives on the current status of cyberfeminism and art. What seems clear is that the terrain occupied by those who claim to practice a fusion of cyberfeminism and art is contested. Alienation is a constant theme in these four essays, as is a clear desire for connection across borders, material, electronic and material/electronic. Gender and race are persistently present in these writings, framed here, as in other narratives of feminism(s), alternatively as havens, barriers and strategic focal points for political action. We welcome these incisive viewpoints and hope they will inspire discussion.
